At the April 9th Peach County Board of Education meeting, board members unanimously approved Superintendent Brown’s recommendation for Mrs. Norika Blanton to serve as Byron Elementary School’s next Principal.
Mrs. Blanton has been in education for a total of 25 years. She transferred to Peach County in 2016, teaching first at Byron Elementary before being named as the assistant principal of Kay Road Elementary in 2020.
Mrs. Blanton earned her specialist degree from Nova Southeastern University. In addition, she earned her master's from Piedmont College and her bachelor's from the University of Georgia... Go Dawgs!
Mrs. Blanton and her husband, Brian, have three children, Cayley, Cara, and Wyatt.
As the newly appointed principal of Byron Elementary, Mrs. Norika Blanton would like to thank Dr. Brown and the Peach County BOE for allowing her this opportunity. She is honored to once again be an Eagle and to work alongside the entire Byron Elementary community.
