More than 200 Byron Elementary students met their Accelerated Reader goals for the third quarter! Each student received a small prize and all of their names went into the "pot" for a prize drawing. Winners were drawn at random and prizes were given to both the student AND their teacher! Winners included: Itzanami Hernandez with Mrs. Yancey ($5 Dairy Queen/$5 Starbucks Gift Card); Elle Sapp with Mrs. Knight ($10 Chick Fil A Gift Cards); Hunter Brooks with Mrs. Gossman ($10 Scholastic Book Fair Shopping Sprees); and the GRAND PRIZE winners were Skylar Davis with Mrs. Romeo ($25 Scholastic Book Fair Shopping Sprees). In addition, Mrs. Layfield's ENTIRE third grade class made their AR Reading goal and will get popsicles at recess. Honorable mentiongoes out to Mrs. Wolfe's second grade class, who came in a CLOSE second!
