Congratulations to Peach County High School Head Football Coach, Marquis Westbrook, for being named 3A Coach of the Year at the first-ever Score Atlanta High School Football and Flag Awards held Sunday, December 8th in Atlanta at the brand new Teamsters Local 728 event hall.
Peach County Schools will be closed for Christmas Break December 19th -January 1st. Students will return to school on Friday, January 3rd.
All Peach County Schools will be closed November 25-29, 2024 for Thanksgiving Break.
Middle Georgia GLRS will host a Transition Resource Fair for students with disabilities and their families. It will offer resources that focus on transitioning from school into the community.

We were honored to have Georgia State School Superintendent, Richard Woods, in Peach County this morning!
During his visit, Superintendent Woods awarded Byron Elementary School, Hunt Elementary School and Kay Road Elementary School with Literacy Leader Banners for exceptional growth in reading and Fort Valley Middle School was awarded a Math Leader Banner for exceptional growth in Math!
All three elementary schools were recognized for growth in 3rd grade reading!
Fort Valley Middle was recognized for leaders in Math and growth in middle school students taking high school math.
We also want to thank Hunt Elementary for hosting this visit.

Yesterday, Naomi Washington from 13WMAZ visited Kay Road Elementary School to see the Growing Readers program in action. She visited Mrs. Moffett's and Mrs. Faulkner's classes, where the students were excited about reading! Look for a story soon on 13WMAZ about Growing Readers in Peach County.
